TEEN SUICIDE
The way i feel about teen scuicide is that it's not a good choice. I have some reasons why, the first one is that your life is ending way too early, everyone has a life to live and you can't just end it like that. The second reason is that u have a lot of people that care about you and love you and you can hurt them and bring pain to them. Scuicide is never the answer, there is a lot of people that can help you from preventing that. For example your friends and family. They can help you prevent that by talking to them and expressing why you feel this way and they will help you because they care for you.
Kelly Yeomans was 13 years old when she took her own life. At the time she was living with her mom and dad and her sister and was from England, the United Kingdom. She was born May 22 1984. She died September 28 1997 from scuicide from painkiller overdose. The school that she had went to was Merrill Academy and her nationality was British.
Kelly Yeoman was at school when the bullying started happening. The bullies would always pick on her mostly because of her weight and would just keep harassing her and taunting her. Her parents had said that the bullying had left Yeoman feelings miserable. Her mother had even gone to her school thirty times to complain about the bullying but had not done anything about it. The school said that they had only gotten one complaint even though she had done it thirty times.
The bullies even went to her house and started throwing even more taunts at her. They even threw eggs, mud, and other stuff at her house. Then from there she said to her family "it has nothing to do with you daddy, mommy, or with you Sarah which is her sister. " I have had enough and I'm going to take an over dose" then her parents became really worried and wanted to get her help but never thought that she would threaten to take her own life. But then soon Kelly was found dead in her bedroom by her father and sister after taking an overdose from her moms painkiller that she had used for her knee pain.
I think her scuicide could've been prevented if the school had actually done something to stop the bullies from harassing her. Maybe even if she had a talk with her friends and family that could've helped her too because talking to your loved ones really helps. There is also suicide hotlines that could've been helpful to her. Maybe even counseling. Now a days there is so much help and knowledge about bullying. I hope anyone thinking about committing suicide explores all their options and knows there's help and realize life is precious and they can overcome their problems with help .
